Essay why we do it

Landing a job in a motorbike industry for a petrolhead sounds like a dream come true. It is. But it comes with a price many tend to overlook. Does your passion require a paycheck?

"Do what you love, and you will never work another day in your life". It sounds like a cheesy motto on a coffee mug, but it has this romantic twist we all admire. Working in a motorbike company is a broad spectrum of jobs you are talking about. With the top players in mind, it is more a corporation lifestyle with 9 to when the boss let me out working schedule. It allows it to run smoothly, and with the financial aspect in mind, it helps turn the cogs. In Broger, we found our romantic twist to it.

We are a part of the big and mighty Powerbike group where corporational slang is understood but not used within the walls. They know the rest of the business world speaks it, but it doesn't need to be forced over employees. Employees speak motorbikes language. "Braap, clutch, holy **** what a looker" these are the sounds of the office we founded. Despite coming from many different parts of the sports universe, the Broger crew picks their nose up when filling the tank or hums the Steppenwolf anthem when it hits a playlist.

Doing cool stuff requires people willing to give it a try. It is not always a motorcycle fairytale of beers on the coast. Yet, we still go there to shoot our catalogues. We don't always burn rubber, but many Broger folks are already there when we do. We still do play with excel or attend sales meetings. That's the part of the grind. But the most common mistake is to turn your passion into a job you hate. We love ours. Keeping it separated allows you to live both to your likeness. Eventually, they will blend into a likeable job and a hell of a time on your bike. And this is our way in the motorcycle world!
