Hel Riders 2023: A Coastal Celebration of Retro Motorbikes, Surfing, Skateboarding, and Art
HEL RIDERS is a festival that brings together enthusiasts of retro motorbikes, surfing, and skateboarding. The whole event is complemented by art (music, graphics, painting, photography). The inspiration for the festival comes from the Wheels & Waves festival held in Biarritz.
Yamaha Challenge
The real deal and the best part for us was the Yamaha Challenge. It's this orienteering rally made for those who love cruising on asphalt, going off-road, or finding those hidden gems in the forest - and you bet we were all over that.
The rally was all about having a blast, so it wasn't about who was the fastest, but who racked up the most points doing tasks. We hit up some epic spots on the
Hel Peninsula and had a wicked time on the special off-road section. We had such a killer time on the off road section that we had to go back, as soon as we handed in our start cards. Check it out below.
No New Ink, But Plenty of New Memories
At the heart of Hel Riders, it's all about the people. The main goal is to meet up and share the passion. We met some ‘’legends’’, rocked out at concerts, and kicked back with a cold one at sunset. Seriously, what more could you ask for?
Yeah, we could've gotten some new tattoos, but we skipped it this time. No new ink, but we did snag a prize from the Yamaha Challenge. Not bad, ha?
